Dr. Preeti Sengar is a highly qualified academic with a diverse and rich educational background. She completed her B.Sc., M.Sc., and B.Ed. from M.D. University, Rohtak, and earned her Ph.D. in Botany from Singhania University. In addition to her expertise in life sciences, Dr. Sengar pursued an MBA with a focus on Human Resource and Operational Management. She has also earned teaching certifications such as RTET, CTET, and HTET (Levels 2 & 3), emphasizing her dedication to both education and professional development. Furthermore, Dr. Sengar completed a course on Sustainable Business Strategy from Harvard Business School (Online), broadening her multidisciplinary expertise.
With over 12 years of teaching experience, including 4 years in research and 4 years in administration, Dr. Sengar has held several prominent positions. She served as Vice-Principal at a renowned school, was an ex-faculty member at a top NEET coaching institute, and worked as an Assistant Professor at a government college. Since 2017, she has been an integral member of our institution and currently supervises 8 research scholars, guiding them in their academic and research pursuits.
Dr. Sengar’s research interests are at the intersection of microbiome studies, bioengineering for improved crop plants, and environmental biology. Her work focuses on understanding cell biology and exploring the biodiversity of deep-sea ecosystems. She aims to contribute to sustainable solutions for agriculture, environmental conservation, and the advancement of biological sciences.
Dr. Sengar teaches Plant Diversity to pre-final year Botany students, focusing on the evolutionary relationships and differentiation among plant phyla and the systematic processes that govern plant classification. She encourages practical learning and the use of scientific instruments in her classes. Additionally, she has taught various subjects throughout her career, including Cell Biology, Environmental Science, Animal Diversity, and Sustainable Management in Ecosystems. Her teaching style integrates both theoretical insights and practical applications, instilling a deep appreciation for biology and sustainability in her students.
