Dr. Rukmani is a dedicated and accomplished Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, with a
strong commitment to mental well-being and human development. She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Mohanlal
Sukhadia University, Udaipur, where she also completed her B.A. and M.A. degrees. Dr. Rukmani has qualified
the Rajasthan State Eligibility Test (SET), further solidifying her expertise in the field. Additionally,
she earned a Diploma in Guidance & Counselling (DGC) from Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University, Kota, which
has enhanced her skills in psychological support and career guidance. With a focus on fostering mental
health awareness and academic excellence, Dr. Rukmani is a dedicated mentor and a source of inspiration for
both students and colleagues.
- Assistant Professor (Guest Faculty), Govt. Meera Girls College, Udaipur (2022-2023, 2021-2022) Taught M.A. students in subjects such as Social Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Psychological Therapies, and History of Psychology.
- Research Scholar, Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur (2015-2018) Also taught at Guru Nanak Girls P.G. College (2017-2020) covering subjects like Research Methodology, Abnormal Psychology, Personality Theories, Statistics, and Health Psychology.
- Counselor, Amar Vijay Sansthan (NGO) (2013-2015, 2020-2021) Provided essential psychological support, including counseling during the COVID-19 pandemic.

- Suicidal Behavior: Studying patterns, triggers, and interventions.
- Clinical Psychology: Exploring therapeutic interventions and mental health treatment.
- Abnormal Behavior: Understanding and diagnosing psychological disorders.
- Psychotherapeutic Interventions: Investigating effective therapies for mental health issues.
- Child Psychology, Career Counseling, and Social Psychology: Exploring the psychological development of children, career guidance, and social influences on behavior.
- Social Media and Criminal Psychology: Focusing on the impact of social media on criminal behavior and societal development.
- Foundation of Psychology: This course introduces students to key psychological principles, theories, and methodologies. Topics include the history of psychology, major schools of thought (such as behaviorism and functionalism), biological bases of behavior, sensation and perception, learning and memory, motivation and emotion, personality theories, and research methods. By building critical thinking and problem-solving skills, this course serves as a foundational block for students pursuing careers in psychology, counseling, and mental health services.
