Mr. Kapil Sharma is a passionate and experienced educator in the Department of Physics, with over six years of experience in teaching, research, and curriculum development. He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics from Kurukshetra University and a B.Ed. from CRSU, Jind. Currently pursuing his Ph.D. from MDU, Rohtak, Mr. Sharma combines his strong academic foundation with a genuine enthusiasm for scientific inquiry. His mission is to inspire students to develop critical thinking skills and engage in active learning, fostering a dynamic academic environment.
Before joining Singhania University, Mr. Sharma was an Assistant Professor at Guru Nanak Institute of Higher Education, MDU Rohtak, where he played a key role in shaping a student-centric learning atmosphere. He contributed extensively to curriculum development, research mentoring, and the overall academic growth of students.
Earlier in his career, he served at the Delhi Institute of Technology and Management, affiliated with GGSIPU, where he demonstrated expertise in both theoretical and practical aspects of Physics, utilizing innovative teaching methods and bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industry applications
Mr. Sharma is a dedicated nuclear physicist, focusing on Nuclear and Radiation Physics with a specialization in radiation shielding. His research endeavors aim to advance nuclear science for energy and environmental applications. His interests include:
  • Nuclear Physics: Study of nuclear structure, reactions, and decay processes.
  • Radiation Physics: Interaction of radiation with matter, radiation detection, and shielding.
  • Nuclear Energy: Research in reactor physics, nuclear fission, and fusion energy.
  • Radiation Safety: Dosimetry, radiation protection, and environmental monitoring.
Mr. Sharma has conducted advanced research on nuclear decay processes and radiation transport, utilizing particle accelerators, GM Counter spectrometers, and modeling nuclear interactions.
  • B.Sc. in Physical Science: Fundamentals of Physics and interdisciplinary concepts.
  • M.Sc. in Physics: Advanced topics in quantum mechanics, electrodynamics, and research-oriented learning.
Mr. Sharma’s teaching philosophy revolves around cultivating curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of Physics. By emphasizing real-world applications and employing diverse teaching methods, he inspires students to become independent thinkers and lifelong learners.
As a Camp Senior in the NCC, Mr. Sharma was honored with a Gold Medal for his exemplary leadership and performance.
