System Administrator

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive System Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimise its IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have mandatory prior experience working in a university or academic institution and demonstrated hands-on proficiency with ERP systems, CRM platforms and other enterprise IT tools used in the higher education sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain servers, networks and all IT infrastructure across university campuses.
  • Manage, configure, and support ERP systems for academic operations.
  • Oversee CRM tools to support admission, student engagement, and outreach operations.
  • Provide end-user IT support to faculty, administrative staff, and students; manage helpdesk operations.
  • Ensure data security, regular backups and disaster recovery procedures are in place and tested periodically.
  • Manage software licences, vendor relationships and coordinate with external IT service providers.
  • Coordinate with ERP and CRM vendors for updates, integrations, patches and issue resolution.
  • Provide MIS reports from ERP systems for academic dashboards.

Eligibility & Required Skills

  • B. Tech / B.E. / MCA / B. Sc (Computer Science or IT) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of IT / system administration experience in a University, college, or academic institution is desirable.
  • Hands-on experience administering ERP platforms for academic modules. Ability to configure roles, manage access controls, perform data migration, and generate MIS reports from ERP.
  • Working knowledge of CRM tools used for admissions, lead management, or student communication workflows.
  • Experience in ERP/CRM user training is desirable.
  • Prior exposure to university platforms such as admission portals, examination management systems, student information systems.
